Ebenezer said that the three left companies were groups of lions in Tangerang, PT Arta Boga in West Yakarta and Sour Sally in southern Yakarta. He said that the sudden inspection was carried out as a monitoring of the public complaint related to the alleged arrest of personal documents belonging to the former worker, especially diplomas.

“We make a sudden inspection due to the public complaint related to the arrest of diplomas by the company,” Ebenezer said in his statement on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

Ebenezer said, this sudden inspection was also carried out as a form of implementation of the law mandate and the direction of President Pabowo Subianto to strengthen the protection of workers. Therefore, its presence in the location of the company is a manifestation of the presence of the country to protect its citizens.

“My presence is in capacity as a country, not to suppress, much less blackmail, but to protect citizens. We want companies to concentrate their business well, while the State is present by ensuring that workers’ rights remain respected,” he said.

In addition, Ebenezer emphasized that the arrest of diplomas by the company, especially against former workers, was an act of violating the law and could be subject to criminal sanctions. Especially if accompanied by requests for rewards or bailouts for collection.

Ebenezer recalled that the Manpower Ministry has issued a circular of the Minister of Manpower m/5/hk.04.00/v/2025 regarding the prohibition of diploma arrest and/or personal documents belonging to workers/workers by employers. It should be used as a guide by all companies so as not to do practices that damage workers.

The sudden inspection in the three companies ended with a direct presentation of several diplomas by management to the former workers who attended the activity.

Ebenezer appreciates the cooperative steps of companies that are willing to comply with the provisions and return the workers’ documents. He considered this action as a form of support for government policies in the creation of a conducive employment climate.

“Thanks to companies that have been cooperative about what the state decision is,” he added.
