Okinawa, alive – The explosion occurred at the facilities of the Martial Arts Forces (SDF), the Kadena Air Base area owned by the United States Army (USA), Prefecture of Okinawa, Japan. The incident occurred on Monday, June 9, 2025.

Emergency calls were made around 11:15 local time. The emergency call reported that the explosion occurred in a bullet storage area that had not exploded in the Yomitan village, Okinawa Prefecture.
“Four SDF members were injured in the incident. But none of them was critical,” said the Ministry of Defense.
Of the report ABC NewsFour soldiers who were victims suffered wounds on their fingers. The explosion came from the installation belonging to Okinawa’s prefecture that maintained weapons that had not yet exploded.
According to local officials, the area of the installation that had jumped was one of the strongest battles of World War II.

SDF said he was still trying to confirm that the cause of the explosion could occur.
