Tito explained that this determination had gone through a long process and involved many related agencies.

“There are eight central agencies involved, in addition to the Provincial Government of Aceh, Sumatra del Norte and its regencies. There are also geospatial information agency, Pus al Navy for the Sea and the Topography TNI AD for the Earth,” he added.

Tito said the surface limit between Aceh Singkil and the center of Tapanuli had been agreed by both parties.

Meanwhile, the limits of the sea of ​​the two regions have not yet reached an agreement. Therefore, continuous Tito, the determination of the border of the sea area was delivered to the central government.

However, the determination of this sea limit never agreed, which causes the disputes related to four islands to continue rolling.

“Now there is no agreement, the rules are presented to the national government, the central government at the higher level,” Tito said.

According to Tito, the central government decided that the four islands entered the Administrative Area of ​​Sumatra del Norte based on the attraction of the land limit.

“Now, from the central level meeting, seeing its geographical location, it is located in the Sumatra del Norte region, based on the limits of the land agreed by 4 local governments, Aceh and North Sumatra,” he said.

On the other hand, Tito said that the central government was open to an evaluation of existing decisions. In fact, he said, the government was open if there was a legal lawsuit for the State Administrative Court (PTUN) with respect to the determination of the four related islands.

“We are also open to obtain an evaluation, or perhaps, if there are those who want to be legally demanded, to Ptun, for example, they don’t care about. We do not have personal interests, apart from completing the limits,” he concluded.

Previously it was reported, the head of the Regional Office of Regional Government and Autonomy of the Regional Secretariat of Aceh, Syakir said that his party would continue to fight for the changes in the administrative state of the 4 islands in the regency of Aceh Singkil.

Syakir explained that the process of changing the state of the four islands had taken place before 2022, long before Governor Mazakir Manaf and Vice Governor Fadhlulla served. In 2022, several times have been provided by the Coordination and Survey meeting for the Ministry of Interior.

“According to the governor and the vice governor’s commitment, the Aceh government will continue to fight for the four islands that are returned as part of the Aceh region,” Syakir said in his statement, on Monday, May 26, 2025.

In verification, the Aceh government showed several authentic tests, including physical infrastructure, property documents and support photos.
