The foods that should be provided by catering kitchens under the coordination of BPKH Limited were not distributed as they should.

This condition caused complaints from the pilgrims, many of them transmitted protests through social media accounts. The problem is a direct concern of the Nasaruddin Umar Minister of Religion, who immediately observes directly to the field in Mecca.

“Yesterday there was a delay in food distribution. We have anticipated it for forms of faithful who cannot be compensated for money,” said Religion Minister Nasaruddin Umar in Makkah, Wednesday (11/6/2025).

The Catering Service for Indonesian pilgrims is one of the important aspects of the maintenance of the pilgrimage. In Makkah al-Mukarramah, each congregation must receive a total of 84 times in its food. In addition, at the maximum peak in Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina (Armuzna), the congregation also has 15 additional meals. While in Medina Al-Munawwarah, the congregation received 27 times for food.

As is known, the Ministry of Religion has collaborated with several food suppliers to guarantee this service, but the incident of distribution delay that occurred in the middle of the month of Zulhijjah is an important note in the future evaluation.
