Yakarta, alive – The Indonesian President, Pabowo Subianto, officially received an invitation to attend the G7 high level conference (summit) in 2025 that will be held to Kanaskis, Alberta, Canada in mid -June 2025.

The information was transmitted by the secretary of the Cabinet, Teddy Indra Wijaya, through the presidential secretariat in Yakarta on Saturday.
“In addition to the official written invitation, the invitation to President Pabowo to attend as a guest of honor at the G7 summit was also delivered directly by the Prime Minister of Canada, his Majesty Mark Carney, by phone yesterday,” said his statement.

According to Teddy, President Prabowo was invited to attend as an honorary guest in the prestigious forum for the world’s advanced economic countries.

In the conversation, Prime Minister Carney expressed his appreciation for the leadership of President Pabowo and expressed great hope for the presence of the head of Indonesia at the high -level meeting.
G7 is an international forum consisting of seven countries with the largest economy in the world, namely Italy, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Great Britain and the United States, in addition to the European Union.
This annual meeting serves as a strategic forum to discuss the main issues of the world, ranging from economic growth, financial stability, climate change, to geopolitical dynamics.
“The Seven Group (G7) is an informal group consisting of 7 advanced economic countries in the world and the European Union, including Italy, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Great Britain and the United States, where members meet every year at the G7 summit to discuss global economic and geopolitical issues,” said Seskab Teddy.
Every year, the leaders of the member countries meet at the G7 summit to discuss several strategic issues, from the global economy to international geopolitical challenges.
Reports of the official page of the G7 2025 Summit, Canada emphasized the importance of multilateral cooperation to face increasingly complex and urgent joint challenges, including the relationship with climate change as a priority, encouraging transitions to clean energy, the reduction of carbon emissions and the increase in climatic resistance in all sectors.
In addition, G7 state leaders will formulate steps to strengthen inclusive and sustainable global economic growth, including the response to inflationary pressures and economic uncertainty that still eclipse the world of the postpandemic world.
This forum will also discuss the governance of digital technology, cyber security and the use of artificial intelligence (AI), with the aim of creating ethics, safe and capable of opening new economic opportunities worldwide.
Security problems will be an important agenda, including the prevention of armed conflicts, terrorism and transnational crimes. It is also emphasized that the importance of increasing the collaboration of the country crossed in the maintenance of world stability.
