He added: “For supervision, we are working with all relevant ministries and agencies, including the food task group. Everything is by name and by address, using verified recipients.”

The implementation of national socioeconomic individual data (DTSEN) as the database for aid recipients has also helped improve the accuracy of the orientation for this year’s rice assistance program.

Currently, Bapanas is still finishing the budget process together with the Ministry of Finance.

At the same time, Adi mentioned that Bulog has already been instructed to start preparing the rice packaging of 10 kilograms, so that the distribution can start quickly once everything is ready.

“We will receive the data from the recipient of DTSEN, which is a national data issued by BAPPENAS, and will be verified in the field by BPS, BPKP and other institutions such as the Ministry of Social Affairs,” he said.

Until now, ADI continued, 16.5 million recipients have been verified, and we estimate that the number will reach 18.3 million. This is crucial because the president has emphasized that the aid must be directed precisely. There is no space for lost objectives.

“Rice assistance will be 10 kilograms per month for two months, so 20 kilograms per family. But our goal is to deliver the total amount at once to save on distribution costs,” Adi added.

He confirmed that the aid is aimed at groups in deciles 1 to 7, which means that it is aimed at the most needy.

“Our goal is to start deliveries at the end of June, prioritizing remote regions such as eastern Indonesia and 3TP (underdeveloped, border, more external and border) regions,” he said.

ADI also transmitted that the government suggests that at least 95 percent of the aid is delivered in mid -July.

“Our target service level in mid -July is to overcome the 95 percent distribution,” he said.

It is also expected that this rice aid program has positive effects on the national economy, helping to boost economic growth towards 5 percent and maintain the purchasing power of people.

From now on, Bulog has more than 4 million tons of government rice reserves (CBP), and the acquisition of domestic rice has already exceeded 80 percent of the target of 3 million tons.

With this solid stock position, the Government is confident that it can continue to implement several intervention programs related to rice in the future.
