The author was arrested for stabbing his colleague AE (28) with a Badik until death.

The perpetrators were arrested by the Police in their escape in the district of Tamalatea, Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi, on Saturday, June 7, 2025.

While the evidence that had been confiscated by the officers was an sharp weapon that was supposedly used to stab the victim, as well as the clothes used by the perpetrators and victims after the unfortunate incident.

Arya explained, the victim’s stabbing incident occurred on Friday, June 6, 2025 at night Idul Adha 1446 Hijiriah. The perpetrators along with several of their colleagues were having an alcoholic party of Tuk (Ballo) in their home, the Jalan Inseksi channel, Manggala district, city of Makassar.
At that time, the victim accidentally pushed the vessel of RD perpetrators until her grandmother was shed. The incident became a joke of his colleagues, but the perpetrators did not accept, then they squeezed resentment and took emotions.
“After the incident, there was a dispute because there was a victim pushing a drink, arguing, after that I expected it to be silent. There were many (people), waiting for the quiet atmosphere, then the perpetrators stabbed the victim twice, on the back and chest,” he said.
The residents who listened to the incident tried to bring to the hospital to receive medical treatment, but the life of the victims could not be saved and declared dead.
“While the perpetrators themselves (after stabbing) they had asked their friend for help, the point is to escape the Jeneponto region. Then, Manggala police chief along with Kasat Reskrim, a team of Jatanras pursued the perpetrators,” he said.
The perpetrators were accused under article 351 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code regarding the persecution that resulted in death. The threat of criminal law is a maximum of 15 years in prison. (Ant)
