A new week means a new batch of sales have kicked off on Steam, and as I have in these round-ups for weeks now, I’ve gathered the best of the big sales and the key games you should snag while they’re on sale.
Once again, I want to highlight (as I did last week) that the sales you’ll see below aren’t ending in a day or two from publishing. They’re all going to be live for more than a few days after this round-up will go live, which means that even if you’re looking at this one a whole week after this is published, there might still be a few sales you can take advantage of. Mostly from the larger publisher sales rather than some of the individual ones, but still. They don’t run out as quick as you may think.
Just something I’m flagging as I’ve seen some confused responses to when these go live. With that out of the way, let’s get to the sales.

These five games didn’t just shape my taste—they helped shape me. Here’s what they taught me as I grew alongside them.
Xbox Game Studios publisher sale
No Game Pass? No problem.
If you’re not already an Xbox Game Pass customer, then this sale is the perfect one for you. Key games from Xbox’s portfolio, a mixture of older and newer releases are all on sale, with some games and a few choice bundles on sale for up to 90% off. These deals are ongoing until May 8, 2025 so you still have plenty of time to take advantage of them before they run out.
Here are a few highlight sales you should take a look at.
The Hellblade Bundle – 34% off – This bundle includes both Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice and Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga, which is something to take advantage of because the first game, Senua’s Sacrifice isn’t on sale on its own, so this bundle is the best way to grab both games if you’ve been eying them for a while.
State of Decay: Complete Collection – 75% off – This collection is just what it says it is, and if you’ve been curious about the State of Decay games then this is absolutely the bundle you want to pick up, as you get both State of Decay games and all the DLC. It’s everything you could want from the franchise, and at a pretty cheap price.
Halo Infinite – Campaign – 67% off – I’m not gonna try and pretend that the campaign for Halo Inifinite is one of the absolute best in the series, but it is far from the worst, and as someone who played it on release, I do think more players should try it out. I know the multiplayer is the big thing, but have you ever wondered what it would be like to play a Halo game like you’re Spider-Man? Because that’s essentially what the fully-upgraded grapple hook does for you by the end of that game, and it’s pretty damn fun.
Here are a few other deals you should check out from the Xbox Game Studios publisher sale.

Last but certainly not least, these are the games on sale this week that, whether they’re big triple-A titles or small indies, have shaped our industry in one way or another. All of these games are must-play titles for at least one reason, which is why you should check out all of these sales before they’re gone.
