Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has been confirmed by Bethesda and Xbox. But not only that, the gaming powerhouses have announced a new live stream for Tuesday (April 22nd) to show off the reworked look at the fan-favorite title. Based on the little information we’ve gathered, we’re going to run down what we can potentially expect from Bethesda’s highly anticipated video game.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion screenshots have found their way onto the internet. Is the wait almost over?

With the little information we’ve been given, fans can expect to watch the stream tomorrow, Tuesday (April 22nd) at 11 AM EST/8 AM PST/4 PM BST on Twitch and YouTube. Bethesda offered a cryptic message on their YouTube channel, along with the date and platforms to watch the event, saying, “All will be revealed…” Other than that, there is nothing else that is known for a fact about the live stream.

So, what can fans expect? Well, based on the leaks that went down last week, players should, at the very least, expect to see more information about the screenshots and information that unfortunately spilled onto the internet ahead of a seemingly planned shadow drop.

If you don’t know, screenshots from Virtuos’ site showed off the high fantasy game’s graphics from 2006 and how they looked compared to the 2025 remaster. Images showed off the new Cyrodiil and how much fidelity popped from the newly remastered graphics. Players could also expect the Bethesda team to give a history of the game and what has maybe changed or stayed the same in the remaster that, leaks have suggested, would appear more like a remake due to the content overhaul.

According to MP1st, massive changes were made to the game for a more streamlined and modern feel. These changes include blocking, which has a more Soulslike feel, sneaking icons are now highlighted when executed, “modified” stamina, archery has been completely revamped, and enemies reacting to the player’s attacks. With the leaked images also including an announcement for the game’s deluxe edition, it’s possible that the infamous horse armor could be at least referenced during the livestream as well.

Elder Scroll IV: Oblivion remake or remaster has been rumored in the industry for years. Then, in 2020, Microsoft’s 5-year plan found its way online, revealing that Oblivion had been scheduled to return to the zeitgeist by way of a remaster. In 2023, more information regarding the title was shared by an ex-Virtuos employee who claimed that the game would be an actual remake, not the remaster it was being touted as.

Bethesda hasn’t released a new entry into the Elder Scroll franchise since 2011’s Skyrim. Yes, it’s been that long. And the last time that the company even mentioned a new Elder Scroll was in 2018, when they seemingly prematurely showed off VI.

But we’ll just have to wait one more day and maybe, just maybe, Bethesda isn’t lying: maybe all will be revealed.

Watch the Elder Scroll IV: Oblivion live stream on Tuesday (April 22nd ) at 8AM PT/ 11 AM EST/4 PM BST on Bethesda’s Twitch and YouTube channel.
