Streaming and buying video games just became so much easier
The Xbox community’s most exciting and most requested feature has finally arrived. Yep, players will soon be able to buy games, DLC, redeem perks, and join Game Pass all from the comfort of their smartphone and similar devices. Using the Xbox app, players will be able to pre-order new games and then set to pre-install to your console from your phone. And if you already have a saved form of payment on your account, a “Buy” option will also be available in the app—buying games just got a lot easier.
Per an official statement from Xbox on the matter, fans can expect this feature to “roll out to beta users on iOS and Android and will be available soon for everyone on the Google Play Store on Android devices and the Apple Store” at an undisclosed date.
Speaking of new features that are making life easier, the new April update allows players to “stream your own game” from their collection of games that they own. If you are already a Game Pass Ultimate fan, you will gain access to stream from a library of “over 100+ cloud-playable games on supported devices.” Both of these new features are available now.
