Samsung is working on releasing the One UI 7 update to its older devices. This started with the likes of the Galaxy S24 but an issue brought that to a halt. Of course, different regions have slightly different release schedules, but here is what Canadian carrier Telus has on the calendar for April.
The Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra got a security patch a month ago (March 14) and are expected to get the Android 15/One UI 7 update on April 22 (Tuesday next week).
Model | When | Update |
---|---|---|
Samsung Galaxy S23 | March 14 | Security Update |
Samsung Galaxy S23+ | March 14 | Security Update |
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra | March 14 | Security Update |
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE | March 28 | Security Update |
Samsung Galaxy S23 | April 22 | Android 15 Update |
Samsung Galaxy S23+ | April 22 | Android 15 Update |
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra | April 22 | Android 15 Update |

As for the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, that one got a security patch two weeks later (March 28), so it’s running behind the main S23 trio. One recent roadmap for the rollout suggests that the S23 FE will get the update on April 24, although the one for Europe has it scheduled for May – if the 5-week gap between security patch and OS update holds, Canadian S23 FE owners will have to wait until next week.
In case you’re wondering, the Galaxy S24 models were scheduled for April 11, but there is no date for when their rollout will be resumed (the calendar was last updated yesterday). The Galaxy S24 FE wasn’t on the April calendar to begin with, so a May rollout is more likely.
