The Acer smartphone brand is back with two newly announced phones. Say hello to the Acer Super ZX and Super ZX Pro – two affordable devices made in India by Indikal Technologies.
The local manufacturer operates under the official license of Acer, meaning aside from the trademarked name, these phones have nothing to do with the Taiwanese maker.
The two phones have plenty of differences, including a different design of the back. The Super ZX Pro has a 6.67″ AMOLED Full HD+ screen with 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 1,000 nits brightness. The display also has an FP scanner underneath.
The Pro has a Dimensity 7400 chipset and five memory configurations: 6/128 GB, 8/128 GB, 8/256 GB, 8/512 GB, and 12/512 GB.
On the back we have a 64 MP main camera with Sony-LYT882 sensor and OIS alongside a 5 MP ultrawide shooter and a 2 MP depth sensor. The selfie camera has a 13 MP OmniVision sensor. The Acer ZX Pro has a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W wired charging, while the OS is in stock for Android 15.
The Pro also brings Dolby Atmos-certified dual speakers, an IP64 rating, and a glass back.
Acer Super ZX is a decidedly entry-level affair, built around a 6.7″ LCD with Full HD+ resolution and 800 nits brightness. The chip is a Dimensity 6300. While memory options are five as well, here they are in the more affordable spectrum—4/64 GB, 4/128 GB, 6/128 GB, 8/128 GB, and 8/256 GB.
A 64 MP Sony IMX682 main camera is joined by 2 MP depth sensor and 2 MP macro camera, while the selfie shooter has a 13 MP Samsung sensor.
The vanilla ZX has the same 5,000 mAh battery with 33W charging. Just like its mightier sibling, the phone has stock Android 15 and dual speakers, while the fingerprint scanner here is in the power key.
The Super ZX costs INR 9,999 ($115/€100), while the Super ZX Pro starts from INR 17,999 ($210/€185). Both Acer phones will be available on April 25.
